Boeing and Singapore Airlines wanted to celebrate the first delivery of the 787-10 Dreamliner in a unique way. We created a first-of-its-kind effect to be used as a digital and social activation. The delivery ceremony was broadcasted live and digitally accompanied by this Facebook AR effect. As the airplane was being flown, the effect used real-time streaming data to display telemetry data along with visual progress indicators. Intricate animations were used for both static objects as well as dynamically positioned character sets.The AR effect was so successful, it became the most organically engaged social post Boeing has ever published.
